The Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences of the Eindhoven University of Technology has a vacancy for an

Assistant Professor (1,0 fte)
in Business Process Intelligence (four years fixed-term)

The School of Industrial Engineering is one of the leading IE schools in Europe, with a strong presence in the international research and education community. Within the School of Industrial Engineering four degree programs are taught: BSc in Industrial Engineering & Management Science (Technische Bedrijfskunde), MSc in Operations Management & Logistics, MSc in Innovation Management, and PhD in operations, logistics and innovation management. The PhD program is embedded in the research school Beta. The School IE also teaches a substantial part of the MSc in Business Information Systems. CAiSE'13 Workshop - Sixth International i* Workshop (iStar'13)

Posted on 10:35 by Unknown

CALL FOR PAPERS
Sixth International i* Workshop (iStar'13)
Valencia, Spain, 17-21 June, 2013
Co-located with the 25th International Conference on Advanced
Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE'13).

www.cin.ufpe.br/~istar13

A growing number of groups around the world have been using the i*
modelling framework in their research on early requirements engineering,
business process design, organization modelling, software development
methodologies, and more. Following successful workshops in Trento
(2002), London (2005), Recife (2008), Hammamet (2010), and Trento (2011)
it is time for another meeting focusing on i*, GRL, Tropos, and related
frameworks, to exchange ideas, compare notes, and forge new collaborations.

We cordially invite you and members of your group to join us at the
Sixth International i* Workshop. The 2-day workshop will be held in
Valencia, Spain, 17-21 June, 2013, as a co-located event with the 25th
International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering
(CAiSE'13). Following a successful Tools Fair in iStar'11, we will be
accepting papers and demos concerning iStar-related tools.

FORMAT

The objective of the workshop is to share knowledge, stimulate
discussion and foster new lines of research and collaboration among
different groups.

To support these goals, we will schedule as much time for discussion as
for presentations - the actual time will depend on the final number of
accepted papers. For every accepted paper, we will assign one discussant
that will provide an initial position about the paper once presented,
and then discussion will follow. If the schedule allows, we plan to
include further occasions for discussion in the program, in addition to
the customary wrap-up session.

The program will also include a keynote talk.

PAPER SUBMISSIONS

Contributions should be 4-6 pages in LNCS format, describing current and
ongoing research related the i* framework. The contribution shall adhere
to the following structure:

- Title, authors, abstract
- Section 1. Introduction.
- Section 2. Objectives of the research.
- Section 3. Scientific contributions. If you have tool support, please
mention and describe it explicitly
- Section 4. Conclusions. Of particular interest are any assessments of
i* and related frameworks, including industrial experiences
- Section 5. Ongoing and future work
- References. Please restrict references to mainly your own work.

All submissions should be uploaded to easychair:
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=istar13

All submissions will be peer-reviewed and accepted works will be
published in the CEUR Workshop Proceedings Series.

TOOL SUBMISSIONS

The i* Workshop will include a slot for tool demos. The demos will
consist of a two-minute presentation of two slides (automatic transition
from one slide to the next will be enforced) and then the floor will be
opened for demos.

In order to submit a tool, fill out a form providing information about
your tool by creating a wiki page on the i* wiki
(http://istar.rwth-aachen.de/tiki-index.php?page=i*+Tools). If a page on
the wiki already exists for your tool, please update it as appropriate.
Contact istarwiki@dbis.rwth-aachen.de if you require a new user name and
password for the wiki.

Prepare a three page description of the tool, using LNCS format.
Descriptions should include a screen shot of the tool and should cover
the following points:

- Tool name and version
- Download information/availability
- Web page and documentation
- Goal modeling framework supported
- Main purpose of the tool
- Primary features
- Status and maturity
- Limitations and future plans
- Interoperability with other tools
- Use in industrial case studies (if applicable)

All descriptions should be uploaded to easychair:
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=istar13

The tool submissions will be peer-reviewed and published in the CEUR
Workshop Proceedings Series, as part of the iStar workshop proceedings.

The 2013 IEEE/ACM International Conference on Advances in Social Networks Analysis and Mining (ACM/IEEE ASONAM 2013)

Posted on 03:31 by Unknown

Call for Papers - ACM/IEEE ASONAM 2013

The 2013 IEEE/ACM International Conference on Advances in Social Networks Analysis and Mining
ASONAM 2013 (see http://asonam.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/index.php)
Niagara Falls, Canada, August 25-28, 2013

For paper submission: https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=asonam2013

The study of social networks originated in social and business communities. In recent years, social network research has advanced significantly; the development of sophisticated techniques for Social Network Analysis and Mining (SNAM) has been highly influenced by the online social Web sites, email logs, phone logs and instant messaging systems, which are widely analyzed using graph theory and machine learning techniques. People perceive the Web increasingly as a social medium that fosters interaction among people, sharing of experiences and knowledge, group activities, community formation and evolution. This has led to a rising prominence of SNAM in academia, politics, homeland security and business. This follows the pattern of known entities of our society that have evolved into networks in which actors are increasingly dependent on their structural embedding.
The international conference on Advances in Social Network Analysis and Mining (ASONAM 2013) will primarily provide an interdisciplinary venue that will bring together practitioners and researchers from a variety of SNAM fields to promote collaborations and exchange of ideas and practices. ASONAM 2013 is intended to address important aspects with a specific focus on the emerging trends and industry needs associated with social networking analysis and mining.
