Postdoc proposal
Cloudiway (http://www.cloudiway.com/) and the LIRIS lab (http://liris.cnrs.fr/) seek a postdoctoral research fellow in semantic meta identity management.
Companies use more and more services externalized on the cloud in addition to their local information system. Therefore, their collaborators own a set of identities that allow them using internal -via a SSO for example- and external services. An identity information is linked to a role that offers to the user a set of privileges and accesses. Managing efficiently multiple identities for a user raises many problems and becomes rapidly difficult as there is no standard uniformly adopted by different organisations for identity management. Organizations change their applications, users move among companies and change roles. These facts bring the need to update, discover or localize the new user identities and to let composed services work together.
Cloudiway is a company specialized in cloud access management, they have solutions to manage, move, provision individual or group user data and accounts. The LIRIS lab is developing a generic user profile management model (GProfile) that handle multiple user profiles and manage their evolution. It is based on profile mappings and change propagation methods.
In this project we try to improve the automatic identity discovery and profile mapping methods.
Mapping dynamically different user identities based on common profile attributes, making concerned roles evolve coherently, tailoring a new role based on user privileges in another organisation and providing a unified management interface are the main goal of our project.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have a PhD in computer science or a closely related field and must be self-motivated and willing to take the initiative in research.
- Knowledge in semantics, user modeling and/or access control models.
- English is mandatory, French is recommended.
The term of the postdoc is one year. The job will be located in Lyon, France.
The position is available immediately
Please send a CV to:
- Emmanuel DREUX : edreux@cloudiway.com

- Nadia BENNANI: nadia.bennani@insa-lyon.fr
- Pierre-Antoine CHAMPIN: pierre-antoine.champin@liris.cnrs.fr
Also include a position statement describing (briefly, half a page to two pages) on what topics you would like to work and what you think you can contribute together with the names of three references with their email addresses
