Research Scientist Position
USC Information Sciences Institute has an immediate opening for a Research Scientist on a project exploring theoretical and computational foundations of social network analysis with applications to social media analysis. Successful candidate is expected to be proficient in both analytic and computational methods applicable to large scale data. Candidate should have a strong mathematical background in the area of graph theory or network analysis and experience with statistical analysis of large-scale data. The candidate will be expected to apply the methods developed over the course of the projects to real-world social, biological, and other networks. A PhD in computer science, statistics, or mathematics and two or more years of post
graduate studies are required.
Located in Marina del Rey, California, ISI is a research institute of USC's Viterbi School of Engineering.
