CALL FOR PAPERS
5th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence
ICAART 2013
website: http://www.icaart.org/
February 15 - 18, 2013
Barcelona, Spain
Sponsored by: INSTICC
INSTICC is Member of: FIPA, WfMC and OMG
IMPORTANT DATES:
Regular Paper Submission: July 24, 2012
Authors Notification (regular papers): October 24, 2012
Final Regular Paper Submission and Registration: November 14, 2012
The purpose of the 5th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART) is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the theory and applications in these areas. Two simultaneous but strongly related tracks will be held, covering both applications and current research work within the area of Agents, Multi-Agent Systems and Software Platforms, Distributed Problem Solving and Distributed AI in general, including web applications, on one hand, and within the area of non-distributed AI, including the more traditional areas such as Knowledge Representation, Planning, Learning, Scheduling, Perception and also not so traditional areas such as Reactive AI Systems, Evolutionary Computing and other aspects of Computational Intelligence and many other areas related to intelligent systems, on the other hand.
We would like to highlight the presence of the following keynote speakers:
- Elias M. Awad, University of Virginia, United States
- Jaap van den Herik, Tilburg University, Netherlands
- Wibe van der Hoek, University of Liverpool, United Kingdom
- Max Bramer, University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom
ICAART is interested in promoting high quality research as it can be confirmed by last year acceptance rates, where from 292 submissions, 14% were accepted as full papers. Additionally, 24% were presented as short papers and 12% as posters.
Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers (full, short and posters) will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support. JIOG A short list of presented papers will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in a CCIS Series book.
Additionally, a short list of papers presented at the conference will be selected for publication of extended and revised versions in a special issue of Springer's LNCS TCCI Journal.
The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP and EI (Elsevier Index). All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SciTePress is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/).
Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.icaart.org/BestPaperAward.aspx).
Workshops, Special Sessions, Tutorials as well as Demonstrations dedicated to other technical/scientific topics are also envisaged: companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial are invited to contact the conference secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea.
ICAART 2013 will be held in conjunction with ICPRAM 2013 and ICORES 2013 in Barcelona, Spain. Registration to ICAART will enable free attendance to any sessions of ICPRAM and ICORES conferences as a non-speaker.
